Manzana Products Co., is currently hiring a bilingual (English/Spanish) Human Resources Manager to join our team in Sunnyside, Wa. The Human Resource Manager will run the day-to-day Human Resources operations at Manzana Products Co., new Sunnyside, WA location. This location currently has under 10 employees and will grow to over 150 employees over the next year. The Human Resources Manager (HRM) will report to the Director of Human Resources for Agrial, USA and oversee recruitment, training, onboarding, employee relations, (employee recognition, employee discipline, terminations), benefits, leave management, accommodation requests, and policies and procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities:
MANAGEMENT
-
Demonstrates compassion, confidence and strong leadership skills when working across all levels of the organization.

Oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of Human Resources Team Members in the department in Sunnyside, WA. Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports and set goals for the year.

Will provide guidance, as needed to the Human Resources Team Members located in Sunnyside, WA.
RECRUITING
-
Manage recruiting and interviewing to facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with the Sr. Human Resources Generalist who is responsible for recruitment and works with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Helps Sr. HR Generalist with creating position descriptions, resume review, interviews, and offers as needed,

Ensures background checks, drug screens, and reference checks are conducted in accordance with company policies.

Completes the background check adjudication process as needed, with the support of the Human Resources Director.
TRAINING
-
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

Supports HR team with new hire orientation or conduct the new hire orientation when needed.
-
Works with various departments or vendors to create training content as needed.
-
Create training materials for other Agrial, USA sites as needed.

Participates in training new Human Resources team members at all locations.
-
Assists with documentation of Human Resources processes and creates and updates job aids for common HR processes.

Oversees Manager and Supervisor training programs.
EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION AND EVENTS
-
Supports the HR Team Members in charge of monthly employee recognition program to ensure nominations are solicited and recognition is awarded each month, per a set schedule.

Manage and organize employee focused events, such as holiday events, company annual company picnic, and birthday recognition across all shifts.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
-
Manages the organization and launch annual performance appraisals and compensation reviews for all team members, and ensures annual goals are set for all supervisors and above.
- Organize compensation review for the Human Resources Director to present to CEO and Director of Finance.

Process employment and compensation changes in HRIS system
-
Communicate changes to payroll as needed
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
-
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
-
Acts as the first point of contact for employee feedback, employee disciplinary action, terminations, and investigations.
- Reviews the above with the Human Resources Director (HRD) as appropriate and then takes action.
-
Escalates appropriate matters to the Human Resources Director for assistance.
-
Provides a weekly summary to HRD on the above items.

SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT

Responsible for maintaining the HRIS data for Sunnyside, WA location, including data integrity, processes, and training team members to use the system (not to include the payroll module.)

Responsible for maintaining data in benefits systems.
-
Responsible for maintaining and reporting on data in the training system.
AUDITS
-
Represent Human Resources in customer, Safe Quality Foods (SQF), or other audits.
- Ensure the Human Resources department is audit-ready, every day.
OTHER REPONSIBILITES
-
Works to influence the company culture to align with company values.
-
Participates in the review of the Employee Handbook annually to keep it up to date with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Attends and participates in quarterly town hall meetings and attends early morning and late evening Operations Team meetings once a month, or as needed.
-
Responsible for Human Resources weekly and monthly reporting.
-
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Maintains this knowledge through seminars, webinars, articles and other reliable sources.
- Provides leadership and guidance to employees to promote positive employee relations, and to maximize productivity, efficiency and quality in a way that is consistent with the company values.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
-
At least five (5) years of human resource experience with a minimum of 3 years in a Human Resources management required.

SHRM-CP a plus.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, hair net, ear protection and safety glasses, when entering the production plant.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds on occasion.

Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities which includes:
- walking on cement surfaces,

uneven surfaces,

loud environments,

hot temperatures,
