A rare chance to run a franchise dealership and own a piece of it!

We're looking for an experienced new car franchise automotive General Manager who wants more than a job title and a paycheck. We want someone ready to lead with full authority, take real ownership of the operation, and buy into the business as a genuine vested equity partner.

If you've spent years building other dealer's stores and have been waiting for your shot to become a partner in an auto dealership, this is worth a serious look.

THE OWNERSHIP ANGLE AND WHY IT MATTERS

What sets this opportunity apart is that the store is already profitable. This isn't a turnaround project or a startup gamble — you're stepping into a business with established revenue, a loyal customer base, and a proven track record.

We're bringing the right person in as an equity partner. The structure is flexible with a high minority stake, or a full path to ownership of the business over time — both are on the table for the right candidate.

WHAT THE JOB ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE

You'll have full responsibility for dealership operations — every department, every number, every hire. That means setting the direction, holding your managers accountable, staying close to the financials, and making the kind of daily decisions that move the needle.

On the people side, you'll be recruiting and developing a strong management team, coaching them to perform consistently, and building a culture where accountability isn't a buzzword — it's just how things work here.

On the business side, you'll own the P&L. You'll build the budget, track performance against it, and respond quickly when something's off. You'll look for ways to grow revenue, tighten operations, and improve margin across the board.

You'll also work closely with ownership on longer-term planning — where the store is headed, what the market looks like, and how to capitalize on opportunities as they come up.

It's a full-scope GM role. No handholding, but also no interference. You'll have the room to do the job right.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

At least 5+ years of automotive experience, with a background in management or senior leadership
A real understanding of how a dealership makes (and loses) money
Someone who leads by being present — not from behind a desk
Strong with people: hiring, developing, and having the hard conversations when needed
Comfortable with the financial side — reading statements, tracking KPIs, making data-informed decisions
Variable operations experience is a plus, but not a requirement — we care more about your leadership track record
Entrepreneurial mindset — someone who takes problems personally and solves them quickly
Valid driver's license required

The dealership is located in a scenic, tight-knit community in the Pacific Northwest, with easy access to outdoor recreation year-round. Hunting, fishing, hiking, and wide-open space are part of daily life here. The cost of living is genuinely affordable, the customer base is loyal, and there's far less noise and competition than you'd deal with in a larger metro market.
