SENIOR CLERK Personal Property Valuation
The Okanogan County Assessor’s Office is recruiting for a Senior Clerk Personal Property Valuation position. This position reports to the Chief Deputy Assessor and is responsible for a wide variety of routine and technical work related to the Okanogan County Assessor’s Office.
This is a non-exempt full time union position with full benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, VEBA, Life and Disability Insurance, 13 Paid Holidays, sick and annual leave accruals. Starting salary of $3503 to $4,258 per month DOE.
The assigned duties are routine in nature. The employee performs technical, clerical, administrative and fiscal tasks or functions that are varied and moderately complex in nature and which normally facilitates the work of others or provide services for others on a timely basis. The focus of the position is on two functional areas: Personal Property Valuation and Tax Levies. The position also assists in other functional areas to support the mission of the Assessor’s Office.

• Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Three years clerical experience preferably in public service. Public contact experience is required. Sound basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtractions, division, multiplication, fractions and percentages. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the Washington State property tax laws and levies. Customer service experience dealing with upset or difficult clients and customers.
