Bob’s Heating and Air Conditioning is hiring for the position of Solar Electrician.
Being part of the solar team, your position will join our growing solar division and help power the future through quality residential solar installations. We are seeking a licensed Washington State 02 Electrician who is passionate about delivering exceptional workmanship while mentoring others on the team. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, and service residential solar systems for both new home builders and existing homeowners. This position offers the opportunity to support multiple areas of the business. When solar workloads allow and additional resources are needed, you may also assist our New Construction Division with residential electrical work during peak production periods.

Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive wages starting at $45.00 to $60.00 per hour, DOE

Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Install, wire, test, troubleshoot, and service residential solar systems.
- Perform electrical installations in compliance with Washington State electrical code and company standards.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and installation plans.
- Diagnose electrical issues and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and inspection requirements.
- Safely work on rooftops, ladders, and elevated work areas while using proper fall protection.
- Lead and mentor an assigned Electrical Trainee by providing hands on training and daily guidance.
- Collaborate with project managers, builders, homeowners, and team members to ensure successful project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, vehicle, tools, and equipment.
- Represent the company professionally while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Inventory control to avoid wasting product.
- Working with tools safely and efficiently
- Assist New Construction Division with residential electrical work, as needed.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, company policies, and state regulations.
- Safely operate and drive a company vehicle to and from job sites, customer meetings, and appointments on a daily basis, ensuring adherence to company policies and traffic laws.
Qualifications
Education
- High school education or equivalent.
License
- Current Washington State 02 Electrical License required.
- Washington State Driver’s License
Required Qualifications
- Experience installing and servicing residential electrical systems. Solar installation experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to safely work in an outdoor setting; in all weather conditions, on roofs, climb ladders, and lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of residential electrical systems, electrical codes, and safe work practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to mentor and train an Electrical Trainee.
- Strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
