Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team. In this pivotal role, you will be the friendly first point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless experience from appointment scheduling to check-in and check-out. Your expertise in medical administrative support, combined with your excellent communication skills, will help foster a welcoming environment while efficiently managing office operations. If you thrive in fast-paced settings and possess a passion for delivering exceptional patient service, this opportunity is perfect for you!

Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage patient intake with professionalism and care, ensuring accurate collection of personal and insurance information
Schedule appointments using dental practice management software, coordinating multiple providers and patient needs.
Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility.
Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and answering patient inquiries promptly
Manage medical records and documentation review to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate health information management
Perform insurance verification and medical billing tasks including.
Assist with dental office administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, maintaining office supplies, and supporting clinic operations
Support front desk operations by managing appointment reminders, patient follow-up calls, and handling billing inquiries with professionalism

Qualifications

Proven experience in a dental or medical office environment with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical billing procedures
Familiarity and experience with Open Dental is highly preferred.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of patient information
Ability process claims accurately
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in various settings
Strong clerical skills including filing, typing (including 10 key), data entry, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with basic computer skills for office management tasks
Previous clinic or dental office experience demonstrating familiarity with insurance verification, medical billing, and office management procedures
