Full Job Description

Lead Toddler Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated, patient, and enthusiastic Lead Teacher for our Toddler Classroom (ages 1.5–3 years old).

The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys creating engaging learning experiences, and can provide a nurturing, structured environment where toddlers can thrive. This position is responsible for leading the classroom, implementing age-appropriate curriculum, and building positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a classroom of toddlers ages 1.5–3 years old
Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities
Foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
Guide children using positive behavior management techniques
Complete daily observations, assessments, and classroom documentation
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities
Work collaboratively with assistants and other staff members

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years old
Experience working with toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting required
Previous lead teacher experience preferred
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Patient, nurturing, and child-focused
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification upon hire

Education

A CDA (Child Development Associate) credential is highly encouraged. An associate's or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field is also highly valued.
