Full Job Description

Regional Supplemental Services is looking for experienced CNC Grinder operators.

This is a travel assignment not located in your home state.

$50. an hour

60 hour min overtime after 40 hours

$30 a day per-diem

Hotel and Travel paid

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Grinder Specialist with at least five years of hands-on experience in precision grinding operations, including travel to various manufacturing sites. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced grinding machinery, contribute to high-quality metal and plastic component production, and support manufacturing excellence across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, expert knowledge of CNC grinding processes, and proficiency with a variety of machining tools and measurement instruments. Responsibilities

Operate and set up CNC grinders, including surface, cylindrical, and tool grinders, ensuring optimal performance and precision.
Program CNC grinding machines using G-code and M-code commands, incorporating CAD/CAM software where applicable.
Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to accurately produce components within specified tolerances.
Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement tools to verify part quality.
Perform machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize grinding processes and improve cycle times while maintaining safety standards.
Document process parameters, inspection results, and quality control data for compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Minimum of five years’ experience in CNC grinding operations within a manufacturing environment.
CNC controlled - Bryant, Mitsumi, Cincinnati, and Koyo equipment.
Proficiency with CNC G-code programming, Fanuc controls or similar systems.
Strong knowledge of machining tools such as grinders, lathes, milling machines, and manual machining equipment.
Experience with CAD software like SolidWorks or CAD programs for interpreting blueprints and designing tooling setups.
Familiarity with CAM programming for generating tool paths for complex grinding operations.
Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for precise measurement interpretation.
Ability to read mechanical blueprints accurately and interpret technical specifications related to metal or plastics machining.
Mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools, power tools, tooling setup, welding, and assembly processes.
Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus.
Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and process adjustments.
Ability to operate measurement instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and precision measurement devices.
