Full Job Description

Alpha Q, Inc. is seeking a Controller to join our team!

In this role, you will be responsible for oversight of the Company's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and providing financial guidance to support strategic business decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position to include, but not limited to:

Oversee the Company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end close processes
Supervise, review, and audit the work of the accounting department to ensure accuracy and compliance
Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, financial systems, and internal controls
Advise executive management on financial matters and provide analysis to support business decisions
Ensure compliance with Company financial policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations
Safeguard confidential financial information and lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years' of accounting experience, OR a Masters with 3 + years' accounting experience
CPA or MBA preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and manufacturing accounting practices
Proficient in Visual Accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (experience with ProShop ERP and Microsoft Dynamics a plus)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively across departments

Hours:

Full-time Alpha Q, Inc. managers are expected to work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week with flexibility for time on weekends, early starts, or staying late as may be necessary to complete critical jobs. Standard office hours are 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.
