Full-time - ARNP Psych Certified - Working from our Waterloo, IA and Waverly, IA offices

With a mission to empower individuals through prevention and recovery strategies, we strive to enhance the well-being of our community across six counties in northeast Iowa.
Summary

We are seeking an Psych Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our dedicated team at Pathways Behavioral Services. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission by delivering high-quality healthcare services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of behavioral health issues. Your expertise will play a crucial role in improving the lives of our clients and their families. The Registered Nurse will assist Pathways medical director and other staff in providing medication checks and other medically related services for children, adolescents, and adults of Pathways Behavioral Services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Under the supervision of the Medical Director the Psych Certified ARNP will prescribe and conduct medication checks on Pathways Behavioral Services clients in compliance with all rules and regulation of the State of Iowa and complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
The Psych Certified ARNP will work with Pathways Behavioral Services’ staff to make sure that all medications used as either samples or as part of the indigent medication program are properly cared for.
The Psych Certified ARNP will be available to work with Pathways Behavioral Services’ staff to resolve client related medical needs which cannot be adequately addressed by nonmedical staff.
The Psych Certified ARNP will provide information and education on clients’ disorders and their prescribed medications.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The person must have an Iowa nursing license in good standing. Reasonable accommodations maybe made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

The employee must be a licensed registered nurse.

This position must have documentation of an accredited school for advanced nurse practitioners.

Licenses and certifications.

This position must have a valid license to be an ARNP in the state of Iowa.

This position must be able to obtain a Drug Enforcement Agency number giving them the ability to prescribe controlled substances.

This position must be able to be paid by Medicaid, Medicare and other third-party payors.
