UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the area’s clinics are improving outcomes, lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown opened a new hospital in Marshall County in April 2022, offering the latest technology and state-of-the-art medical facility. In addition, it has primary care clinics located in Marshalltown, Conrad, State Center and Tama-Toledo and an Express Clinic in Marshalltown.

Healthy Hometown Grant recipient; this role is a 5 year commitment minimum
- Established team of 1 physician and 1 Advanced Practitioners
- Established practice serving the Marshalltown community

Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and well-known clinic

Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community
-
Full-time patient position, including dedicated administrative time for notes, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access

Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
Responsibilities:
- Average of 16-18 patients per day; no nights or weekends

Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve

Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care

Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment

Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Physician Associate

Cardiology experience preferred

Successful applicants must be new to working as a Healthcare Provider in rural Iowa

Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
