Job Title: Material Planning and Control Supervisor
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 24 Months (Possibility of Extension/Conversion)
Location: Davenport, IA 52809
Shift: 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
3rd Shift: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM
Occasional overtime as needed
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and supervise skilled maintenance and production personnel on assigned shifts.
· Ensure departmental goals for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost are achieved.
· Manage preventive maintenance activities and conduct weekly maintenance audits.
· Coordinate daily work assignments, schedules, and workforce priorities.
· Lead union skilled trades including mechanics, electricians, and pipefitters.
· Troubleshoot complex equipment and support emergency maintenance activities.
· Optimize equipment performance and improve operational efficiency.
· Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and conduct performance reviews.
· Enforce health, safety, environmental, and company policies.
· Support continuous improvement and maintenance effectiveness initiatives.
· Prepare operational reports and analyze maintenance performance data.
· Collaborate with maintenance leadership to control maintenance costs.
· Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions.

Experience
· Experience supervising union maintenance or manufacturing teams.
· Strong SAP experience in maintenance planning or manufacturing operations.
· Background leading skilled trades such as electricians, mechanics, pipefitters, or millwrights.
· Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs and maintenance audits.
· Strong knowledge of industrial safety practices and maintenance operations.
· Engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, or operations leadership experience preferred.
· Ability to work flexible shifts, including 2nd or 3rd shift and overtime.
