Full Job Description

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations across the organization and its venues. This role supports Managers and leadership team by administering benefits, assisting with payroll processes, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

This position serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers, fostering positive working relationships and supporting HR initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with state and federal regulations
Ensure company policies and practices align with employment laws
Maintain required labor law postings across all locations
Assist with regulatory reporting (ACA, OSHA, HIRD, BLS, and other filings)
Support unemployment claims and employment verifications
Assist with annual performance review administration

Recruitment & Hiring

Post and manage job listings on platforms such as Indeed
Coordinate recruitment processes and candidate communication with hiring managers
Maintain and update job descriptions based on organizational needs
Prepare draft offer letters for leadership review
Coordinate onboarding through ADP and new hire documentation

Onboarding & Employee Records

Ensure completion of all new hire documentation, including I-9 verification
Maintain onboarding records and ensure compliance
Coordinate background checks (CORI, RMV, DOT)
Conduct biannual driver record checks for applicable employees

Benefits Administration

Administer employee benefits including enrollments, changes, and terminations
Manage leave programs such as PFMLA and workers’ compensation
Act as liaison with benefits providers and vendors
Coordinate open enrollment and employee information sessions
Respond to employee benefit inquiries and provide guidance
Ensure compliance with wage parity requirements

401(k) Administration

Coordinate employee enrollments and updates with the retirement plan provider
Schedule sessions with the company’s 401(k) advisor
Maintain accurate records for employment status changes
Assist with annual reporting and audits

Payroll Support

Support payroll processes including new hires, terminations, and pay changes
Assist with payroll inquiries and PTO tracking
Monitor timecards and notify managers of discrepancies
Ensure proper approval and submission of payroll documentation

Workers’ Compensation & Safety

Manage workers’ compensation claims and incident reporting
Maintain OSHA logs and required documentation
Act as liaison between employees, management, and insurance providers

HR Operations & Support

Provide HRIS (ADP) support to employees and managers
Coordinate offboarding processes including final pay and documentation
Assist with employee training initiatives
General HR administrative functions

Qualifications & Competencies

Strong understanding of HR practices and employment law compliance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High level of discretion and confidentiality
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now & Excel Spreadsheets
