Position Summary

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily materials and supply chain activities that keep production supplied and customer orders moving. This role serves as a key point of contact for the Materials team, ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant material flow while supporting inventory accuracy, scheduling, purchasing follow-up, and department documentation.

The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-driven coordinator who balances hands-on materials work with the administrative discipline that keeps the department running. The Supply Chain Coordinator supports the Materials Associates and partners closely with the Materials Lead and Supply Chain Supervisor to ensure consistent execution of production schedules, shipping commitments, and operational objectives.

This position qualifies for our profit sharing program.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily supply chain and materials activities — receiving, kitting, shipping, and cycle counts — in alignment with production schedules, shipping deadlines, and operational priorities.
Maintain the daily tier board and department priorities, organizing and communicating the Materials team’s daily workflow and coverage.
Track attendance, PTO, and coverage needs, escalating potential staffing gaps to the Supply Chain Supervisor.
Assign personnel and resources to meet production schedules and changing business demands.
Provide day-to-day performance coaching and support the development of the Materials team.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training activities, and provide staffing recommendations.
Ensure warehouse and materials activities comply with ISO 13485 procedures, work instructions, labeling standards, and cleanroom protocols.
Promote a culture of safety by identifying hazards, reinforcing safe work practices, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Partner with the Materials Lead and Materials Associates to provide cross-training, troubleshoot issues, and reinforce standard work.
Generate, release, and print work orders to support production and materials execution.
Support raw material availability and inventory control, ensuring components are staged, accurate, and available to support on-time production.
Create and manage off-system purchase orders that cannot be generated in the ERP system – including those for secondary and outsourced processes and vendor-managed inventory replenishment
Coordinate inbound logistics — carrier selection, freight scheduling, shipping documentation, and resolution of transit delays or damaged shipments — serving as the point of contact for vendors when scheduling incoming shipments.
Coordinate outbound logistics and finished goods shipping — carrier and service-level selection, freight quoting, export and shipping documentation, and tracking through delivery — ensuring customer orders are accurate, properly documented, and shipped on schedule.
Serve as a resource on order status, shipment tracking, delivery timing, and documentation requests, coordinating with Customer Service and Sales to resolve delivery issues and keep customers informed.
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock checks, and reconciliation of physical and system records.
Support ERP transactions and operational reporting to maintain data accuracy across inventory and material flow.
Support continuous improvement by identifying gaps in scheduling, tracking, communication, and administrative processes.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a supply chain, materials, warehouse, purchasing, or production support role.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members, with prior experience as a shift or team lead in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
Prior experience coordinating materials, inventory, purchasing, or scheduling activities in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track and close multiple open items and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail across documentation, scheduling, purchase orders, and ERP transactions.
Ability to prioritize competing demands and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience in an ISO 13485, GMP, or other regulated manufacturing environment, with working knowledge of quality systems and materials documentation, preferred.
Experience using ERP systems (Fishbowl preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or other regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.

Language Requirements

Must be fluent in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus and may be beneficial for effective communication in a diverse manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the manufacturing, warehouse, and shipping areas for extended periods.
Work is performed in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment subject to gowning, safety, and personal protective equipment requirements.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
