Job Title: Engineering Technician

Location: Watertown

Department: Production

Position Summary

Helps Engineering staff develop efficient and safe processes related to producing a product. Helps with improvement projects for the purpose of producing quality products, cost reduction, elimination of waste. Involvement in process improvement, project management, cost analysis, troubleshooting, design within customer specifications.

Position Responsibilities

· Understands the required outcomes of a particular procedure. Support and development of new injection & compression molding projects, consisting of interactive testing, validation and recommendations on design as well as quotation support.

· Helps create drawings for part/tool/process/layout, and flow.

· Help create projects to achieve an outcome designed by engineering department.

· Helps trouble shoot equipment, provides technical support, facilities and processes daily activities and major projects.

· Participates in new product launch, part drawing, prototype and production tool drawing.

· Participates in and helps develop continuous improvement.

· Provides help to various departments to meet internal and external requirements.

· Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated.

Position Requirements

AS Degree in technical field or equivalent experience in Injection and Compression Molding. Leadership skills, Self-motivated, tooling and secondary equipment knowledge and self-directed. Good attention to detail and able to learn complex manufacturing systems and teach to operators.

Experience

Knowledge of manufacturing fundamentals. Technical background with Rubber & Plastics experience. Relevant technology with knowledge of drawing, modeling, electronics, heavy equipment operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
