Full Job Description

Backroad Construction is growing, and we’re looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and confident working with homeowners, subcontractors, and suppliers. You’ll be the first point of contact for new projects and play a key role in setting each job up for success.

What You’ll Do

Manage incoming leads and guide clients through the pre-construction process
Perform site visits, take measurements, and gather project details
Create accurate estimates, scopes of work, and material takeoffs
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and availability
Build project files, budgets, and schedules in our construction software
Prepare homeowner proposals and assist with contract execution
Work closely with the owner and field team to ensure smooth project handoff
Maintain organized documentation and clear communication throughout pre-construction

What We’re Looking For

Experience in construction, estimating, project coordination, or a related field
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to read plans, understand building components, and problem-solve
Solid computer skills (construction software is a plus)
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once
Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently
