Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher, where your role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. This energetic position offers an opportunity to contribute to exceptional food service by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are sanitized and ready for use. Your dedication helps uphold our high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen health and safety standards, supporting the overall success of our restaurant operations.

Duties

Efficiently wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support culinary staff
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces and ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables
Support bussing duties by clearing tables and assisting with general restaurant cleanliness during service hours
Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively
Follow manual handling protocols to lift heavy items such as large pots or crates safely
Adhere strictly to sanitation standards to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with food safety management policies

Qualifications

Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
Knowledge of food handling, sanitation procedures, and kitchen health and safety standards
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and stand for extended periods during shifts
Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and basic cleaning tools is a plus
Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen environment
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff and serving guests
Basic knife skills or culinary experience are advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
