Position Summary
The Office Administrator serves as the first point of contact for Cornerstone Church and plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient office environment. This position provides administrative support to pastors, staff, volunteers, and the congregation while ensuring the daily operations of the church office run smoothly. Through exceptional customer service, organization, and attention to detail, the Office Administrator helps support the mission and ministries of Cornerstone Church.
The Office Administrator is expected to actively support the mission, vision, and doctrinal beliefs of Cornerstone Church while serving as a positive representative of Christ and the church within the congregation and the community.
Core Responsibilities
Front Office Administration
● Welcome and assist visitors, church attendees, and community members in a friendly and professional manner.
● Answer and direct incoming phone calls and respond to general office inquiries.
● Maintain a welcoming, organized, and efficient church office environment.
● Assist pastors and staff with general administrative support as needed.
Administrative Support
● Coordinate wedding scheduling and related communication.
● Manage and maintain Planning Center information and related church records.
● Coordinate the staff devotional rotation schedule.
● Assist with office organization, filing, and administrative projects.
● Order and maintain office supplies and printed materials.
● Maintain office equipment and coordinate service requests as needed.
● Support church staff with scheduling, communication, and administrative needs as assigned.
● Collect payments, deposits, registrations, and other approved financial transactions according to church procedures.
● Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and ministry of Cornerstone Church.
Church Communications
● Communicate with the church family through email, text messaging, and other approved communication platforms.
● Prepare, print, and distribute the church newsletter.
● Design, prepare, and print the weekly church bulletin.
● Assist with routine churchwide communication needs and announcements.
Ministry Support
● Provide administrative support for church ministries, events, and special projects.
● Assist with event registrations and coordination.
● Support seasonal ministry initiatives and churchwide events as administrative needs increase throughout the year.
Position Expectations
● Actively support the mission, vision, and doctrinal beliefs of Cornerstone Church.
● Maintain strict confidentiality regarding church, staff, financial, and personal information.
● Work collaboratively with pastors, staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders.
● Demonstrate flexibility, recognizing that ministry occasionally requires evening, weekend, or seasonal responsibilities.
● Exercise discretion and sound judgment when responding to questions or directing individuals to the appropriate pastor or staff member.
● Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
Technical Skills
The ideal candidate will have experience with, or the ability to quickly learn, the following software and platforms:

● Adobe Acrobat
● Canva (basic proficiency preferred)
● Keynote and/or PowerPoint
● Church communication platforms
● Office equipment including copiers, printers, and postage systems

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
