MAKE A DIFFERENCE AS AN OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN (Assistant)
As a Full-Time Ophthalmic Technician (Assistant) at EYE CLINIC OF WISCONSIN, you will play a crucial role in assisting the care of patients by performing portions of the patient exam and a variety of preliminary tests as directed by physician orders. Your attention to detail is essential in ensuring that all procedures are carried out accurately and efficiently, contributing to exceptional patient outcomes. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
To excel as a Full-Time Ophthalmic Technician (Assistant) at EYE CLINIC OF WISCONSIN, several key skills and qualifications are essential. A high school diploma is a must, along with the commitment to achieve Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification within one year of joining the team. Proficiency in the safe and efficient use of medical and office equipment is critical, as is the ability to foster positive working relationships with both physicians and staff. You should thrive in a fast-paced medical environment while adhering to HIPAA compliance regulations.

Strong computer software skills, along with typing proficiency, are necessary to manage patient information effectively. A solid understanding of medical terminology and basic eye anatomy will enhance your performance, while knowledge of examination equipment operation and maintenance will ensure smooth daily operations. Finally, conveying a positive attitude and the ability to work independently are traits that will contribute to your success in this role.

Work Conditions:

Eye Clinic of Wisconsin has eight locations; while staff will be assigned to a "home" location; travel to satellites is a requirement of the position. Hours of work will be dependent on the needs of the Clinic. Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Occasional lifting (30 pounds), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs is required.
