Full Job Description

JOB TITLE: Loan Processor

REPORTS TO: EVP – Chief Operating Officer

DIRECT REPORTS: N/A

FSLA STATUS: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY: Process commercial loan applications from origination through closing, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Perform loan-servicing activities including customer inquiries. Support bank management and lending staff.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Handle complex loan applications and transactions related to commercial loans.

· Process all loan applications accurately and efficiently, meeting established deadlines.

· Prepare all loan documentation to ensure all loan files are complete and compliant with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

· Stay current on industry regulations and best practices in loan processing.

· Prepare and review loan-related reports and contribute to the development and improvement of loan processing procedures.

· Handle loan-servicing activities, including customer inquiries.

· Assist other members of loan processing team with their duties when needed.

Secondary Duties:

· Process loan payoff requests.

· Prepare wiring documents for wiring closing funds.

· Maintain a working knowledge of job-applicable regulations and complete required compliance training as assigned by the bank in a timely manner.

· Perform other duties as may be assigned by Management.

Qualifications:

· High school graduate or equivalent (e.g., GED).

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bank loan processing role, with a proven track record of exceptional accuracy and efficiency in handling commercial loans.

· In-depth knowledge of loan processing, servicing, and documentation procedures of commercial loans.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Superior attention to detail and accuracy.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a working knowledge of loan processing software for commercial lending.

· Ability to be a self-starter, work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed largely within the Bank with limited chance of personal injury. Prolonged and frequent mental and visual concentration required. Periodic stressful situations in response to multiple priorities within established deadlines. Work hours are generally during normal business hours. Unscheduled morning, evening and weekend work may be needed to meet the needs of customers and employees.
