The Title Examiner will be responsible for:
- Performing comprehensive title examinations on residential properties, including complex chains of title.
- Reviewing acreage and light commercial properties for ownership, encumbrances, restrictions, easements, and legal descriptions.
- Analyzing public records, deeds, legal documents, surveys, and historical property records to determine marketable title.
- Identifying title defects, liens, judgments, encumbrances, and other issues affecting ownership.
- Preparing clear, accurate, and detailed title reports.
- Collaborating with internal teams to resolve title issues and support timely, successful closings.
- Managing multiple files while maintaining exceptional accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience performing residential title examinations.
- Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to interpret legal descriptions, deeds, recorded instruments, and other title documents.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience examining acreage properties.
- Experience with light commercial title examinations.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
Compensation
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 annually
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
