Full Job Description

Department: Accounting

Reports to: Controller

Role:

The Accounting Manager is a key financial operations role responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant accounting across multiple construction and development entities. This position owns core accounting functions including cash reconciliation, general ledger maintenance, month-end and year-end close, management reporting, and entity-level financial data integrity. The role requires strong technical accounting judgment, disciplined attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment while supporting management and external CPA reporting needs.

Responsibilities:

Own daily cash reconciliation and related cash management entries across assigned entities.
Coordinate with CPA on Federal and State tax returns
Maintain accurate financial data, general ledger activity, and supporting records for assigned companies
Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations, reporting, and financial review support
Prepare recurring and ad hoc management reports that support operational and financial decision-making
Support year-end compliance reporting, including preparation and distribution of required documents such as Forms 1096 and 1099
Assist with accounting process improvements, special projects, and other finance initiatives as business needs require
Assist with and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
Coordinate with CPA on Federal and State tax returns

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
