The Residential HVAC Service Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing a team of HVAC service technicians while ensuring exceptional customer experiences, technical excellence, and operational performance. What You’ll Do
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of residential HVAC service technicians through regular field visits, ride-alongs, and performance discussions.
- Serve as the primary technical resource for technicians, assisting with advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and complex repairs.
- Conduct field quality-control inspections to ensure work meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and customer expectations.
- Review completed service tickets, invoices, estimates, and technician documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Lead daily huddles, departmental meetings, and technical training sessions.
- Monitor and improve department performance metrics, including revenue, average ticket, maintenance agreement sales, callback reduction, customer reviews, and technician productivity.
- Work closely with dispatch and customer service teams to optimize scheduling, technician utilization, and customer satisfaction.
- Investigate and resolve customer concerns, escalations, warranty issues, and service-related complaints.
- Promote and enforce company safety policies, EPA regulations, and industry best practices.
- Support technician recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing performance management.
- Develop training plans and career paths to help technicians advance within the organization.
- Perform regular technician ride-alongs to provide coaching, identify training opportunities, and improve field performance.
- Monitor service quality and callback trends, implementing corrective actions when needed.
- Review and approve estimates, repair recommendations, and major repair proposals as required.
- Ensure technicians maintain proper truck stock, tools, certifications, and licensing requirements.
- Support cross-department collaboration with installation, sales, plumbing, and electrical teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on customer experience, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Assist with budgeting, labor management, and departmental goal attainment.
- Maintain a positive team culture focused on accountability, professional development, and exceptional customer service.
- Complete additional leadership and operational responsibilities as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to work on HVAC units.
- Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year.
- Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

A valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of US driving experience, is required for this role
