Client Overview:
Our client is a well-established organization in the retail supplier industry seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join their growing team. Known for its positive work environment and supportive culture, this company is an excellent place to launch or grow your accounting career. Recent Accounting or Finance graduates, as well as current seniors with full-time availability, are encouraged to apply.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$50k - $52k

Position Overview:
The Junior Accountant will support the Accounting Department with a variety of day-to-day accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, develop their accounting skills, and gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, communicative, and ready to take on new challenges.

Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant:

Assist with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) processes.
Prepare and post journal entries.
Process invoices and maintain accurate records.
Assist with General Ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Review financial data for accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with team members on various accounting projects and administrative tasks.

Required Experience/Skills for the Junior Accountant:

0-2 years of accounting experience (internships and relevant coursework welcomed).
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience with ERP systems and accounting software is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Eagerness to learn and grow within an accounting role.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Junior Accountant:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting preferred.

Education Requirements:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Recent graduates and current college seniors with full-time availability are encouraged to apply.
