Full Job Description

Job Summary

Join our dedicated team as an In Home Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate assistance with daily activities, ensure safety and well-being, and promote independence within the comfort of clients’ homes. Your energy, attention to detail, and genuine care will create a positive impact on those you serve, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for individuals of all ages and abilities.

Duties

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly
Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and promote mental well-being
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer devices to ensure safe patient handling and mobility
Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, patient progress, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment

Requirements

Proven experience in home care, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes with a strong understanding of senior care and disability support
Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care
Certifications in CPR and First Aid are required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or hospice care are a plus
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed for patient transfers or mobility assistance
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory care needs is highly valued
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and social workers
A compassionate attitude combined with reliability, patience, and a proactive approach to caregiving
