Full Job Description

Program Manager

DCF Crisis Stabilization and Assessment Program (CSAP)

LOCATION: Parsippany Troy Hills, NJ

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Exempt

Purpose:

To use best practices and technology within a community based residential setting to support and rehabilitate youth (ages 11-15) with co-occurring diagnoses. Plan and implement the treatment team's interventions and staff schedules designed to assist youth build skills needed to move to a less restrictive level of care and live as independently as possible.

The objectives of this position are:

To ensure that the contracts deliverables, utilization and compliance of all program aspects to regulatory agencies and Allies Policies and Procedures governing Children's Behavioral Health Services.
To ensure that the customer is being provided with the physical, intellectual, emotional, psychiatric rehabilitative and social skills to progress toward a less intense support need (step down).
To assist the quality assurance department in its ongoing mission of ensuring continuous training and quality assurance for all programs within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Works a 40 hour per week salaried, unlimited schedule as directed.
Provides direct care services, medication monitoring, individual/group/family interventions, and assistance with daily living skills when directed and necessary with respect and dignity.
On call 24 hours a day in cooperation with other management staff.
Assures that all staff, meal, recreational and life safety drill schedules are timely, accurate and keep up to date at all times.
Monitors and insures accurate program and clinical documentation.
Reports, monitors and schedules house and vehicle maintenance.
Assists in maintaining and monitoring of individual finances, as needed.
Monitors and reports health and medical needs of individuals internally and externally, as appropriate.
Builds a support network between the youth, families, case management entities and community members.
Documents individual's progress in compliance with all governing rules and regulations as necessary.
Ensures consistent service delivery which connects treatment, social, educational, family involvement, and recreational needs.
Serves as an active member of each person's interdisciplinary team and participation in the Individual's Treatment Plan.
Works with each individual's treatment team and all other interested parties to build self-esteem and social capitol for each individual served.
Encourages and ensures that individuals maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable therapeutic environment providing assistance as appropriate.
Objectively completes staff evaluations on time.
Monitors and maintains residential budget.
Monitors and schedules required staff training, as well as relevant seminars, conferences and additional training.
Submit monthly written reports covering operational status, as well as individual progress and concerns to supervisor.
Successfully completes required residential training, including but not limited to: New Hire Orientation; CPR and First Aid; Medication Administration; Preventing Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation; Shifting Expectations, Life Experience and Services; Life Threatening Emergencies (Danielle's Law); Stephen Komninos' Law; Crisis Management; Corporate Compliance; General Behavior; In-House Orientation; and other required trainings.
Completes annual training, including role specific trainings relative to Accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement.
Attends conferences, seminars, and other trainings relevant to the position.
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in the human services field; or a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 3 years' experience working with youth
Supervisory experience preferred
Valid driver's license with good driving record
Basic computer literacy required
The ability to lift and transfer at least 50 pounds
The ability to sit, bend, squat, reach, and stand for several hours at a time
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English and direct/respond to individual's needs
Basic knowledge of vehicle and home maintenance

***If offered a position, you will be required to attend up to five (5) full days of paid mandatory training located at our Headquarters Office in Hamilton, New Jersey.
