Job Summary
The Senior Assembler is responsible for assisting daily assembly operations for kiosk and display products, ensuring that units are built accurately, efficiently, and timely. The Senior Assembler is expected to work with other departments to help maintain quality and customer specifications. This role helps coordinate assembly technicians, upstream departments (IT, engineering, procurement,quality), and ensures that all materials and components are available to meet production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assembly Operations Management
- Assist operations manager in the efficient completion of the assembly of kiosks (mechanical, electrical, and electronic integration)
- Ensure all assemblies meet design specifications and build standards
- Monitor throughput, productivity, and adherence to production schedules
- Ensure final assembly readiness prior to QA, packaging, and shipment
2. Production Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Engineering (design changes, BOM updates)
- Procurement (parts shortages, substitutions)
- Quality (help enforce quality standards and proper instillation)
- Identify and escalate material shortages (e.g., missing screws, PCs, peripherals)
- Maintain accurate tracking of components used in builds
3. Technical Support & Team Coordination
- Provide technical guidance
- Assist the Operations Manager in communicating daily production priorities
- Assist with training new employees on assembly procedures, tools, and safety
- Supporting production priorities
4. Final Product Readiness
- Ensure kiosks are:
- Fully assembled
- Cleaned and free of defects
- Properly configured for delivery (hardware + software readiness)
- Coordinate with QA for handoff
- Package product after inspection
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years in manufacturing or assembly operations
- 1+ years in a supervisory or lead role
- Experience with electro-mechanical assembly
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (for production tracking)
- Bi-Lingual English / Spanish
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple builds and deadlines simultaneously
- Clear communication across departments (engineering, procurement, operations)
- Hands-on leadership style
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with:
- PC-based systems and peripherals
- Payment devices (card readers, printers, scanners – preferred)
- Prior experience in kiosk, POS, or electronics manufacturing
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Productivity, quality, and technical support metrics
- On-time production completion
- Defect/rework rates
- Assembly quality
- Material readiness at assembly start
Working Conditions
- Climate controlled manufacturing/production floor environment
- May require lifting (up to ~50 lbs) and standing for extended periods
- Exposure to tools, electronics, and assembly equipment

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
