Full Job Description

Sanctuary Salonspa is a locally owned highly successful salon and spa with 4 locations located in the Eden Prairie and Excelsior area. The bookkeeper will be one of three accounting and payroll personnel and will work closely with the Owner of the company and others in a small office environment remote from each of the locations.

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper and Assistant to the Owner. This position is responsible for performing basic accounting duties and reporting of financial transactions and assisting in monthly purchases of backbar and conceirge needs. Must have experience with multi-tasking and prioritizing own work, while meeting critical needs of Owner first. Good communication skills and honesty are a must. Experience in the salon / spa industry is preferred but not necessary.

DUTIES include but are not limited to

· Payroll data review of timekeeping and preparation of payroll for payroll processing.

· Review of daily books for appropriate daily transactions. Resolving any outstanding overages/shortages or other issues.

· Collection, review and data entry of location purchases and adherence to supply and other budgets.

· Order bi-weekly and monthly retail and backbar supply inventories.

· Receive and tag inventory purchases.

· Work closely with location managers to resolve discrepancies in records, inventory management or to gather monthly accounting information.

· Monthly data collection into spreadsheets and analyzing validity of amounts and accounts, then subsequent entry into our bookkeeping system. (Sage System).

· Expense management and allocation and budget monitoring.

· Completion of monthly financial statements.

· Creation and data input into computer spreadsheets used for analysis.

· File monthly information and invoices.

· Administrative duties for Owner of company.

· Special projects as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum 3 years accounting or bookkeeping experience.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word.

· Strong attention to detail with High Accuracy.

· Organizational skills.

· Dependable and self-motivated.

· Able to work independently.

· Ability to multi-task with a positive attitude.

· High level of professionalism.

· Good communication skills.

· Strong work ethic.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
