Job Summary
Important: Must be available weekdays (Monday - Friday) starting at 3:00 pm. Morning availability plus.
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Beertender / Barista to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service in a lively environment, serving craft beers, specialty drinks, and light food offerings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong multitasking skills, and experience in food and beverage service. Previous experience with POS systems such as Square is preferred, along with a solid understanding of food safety and responsible alcohol serving practices. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can showcase your hospitality skills and contribute to a memorable guest experience.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take beverage and food orders efficiently using POS systems (Square)
- Serve craft beers, specialty coffee drinks, and light snacks with attention to presentation and quality
- Manage cash handling, process payments accurately, and operate cashiering systems
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with company standards and food safety regulations
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on beverages and menu items to enhance customer satisfaction
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by verifying IDs and adhering to legal drinking age regulations
- Assist in setting up the bar area for events such as music nights or private rentals when needed
- Restock supplies, clean equipment, and ensure the bar area remains organized throughout shifts
- Collaborate with team members to deliver a seamless customer experience in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in craft beer, coffee, food service, or other hospitality
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol serving practices
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations for sales and change
- Experience working in fast-paced taproom environments
- Basic understanding of brewing processes or beer varieties is a plus but not required
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work evenings or weekends as needed
