Cowboy Express Car Wash is looking for a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician to help maintain and repair multiple car wash locations throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. This is a full-time position based in the Weatherford/Parker County area.
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Car Wash Maintenance Technician / Handyman to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our car wash facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and executing repairs across various mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems at all our locations. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, technical expertise, and a passion for maintaining high standards of safety and quality. You will play a vital role in keeping our facilities running efficiently, enhancing customer satisfaction, and supporting the overall success of our operations.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of car wash equipment, including pumps, conveyors, and drying systems, to identify potential issues before they escalate
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and calibration using precision measuring instruments and schematics
- Troubleshoot electrical systems using electrical diagnostics tools like ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics to diagnose faults accurately
- Repair or replace faulty components including motors, switches, sensors, hydraulic lines, pneumatic systems, and wiring in accordance with safety standards
- Read electrical blueprints and schematics to facilitate complex repairs or modifications of electrical and mechanical systems
- Assist with minor construction, painting, electrical, and plumbing projects to support facility upgrades or repairs
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures related to high voltage systems, electrical systems, and industrial mechanics
- Support field service activities by providing technical assistance on-site or remotely as needed
- Respond to maintenance calls and emergency repairs.
- Travel between multiple locations as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities or industrial maintenance environments with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Familiarity with HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and troubleshooting pneumatic systems
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, schematics reading tools, and other diagnostic devices
- Ability to perform welding tasks with expertise in welding techniques for repair or fabrication purposes
- Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting including low voltage and high voltage systems; experience reading electrical blueprints is essential
- Experience with industrial electrician tasks such as electrical diagnostics, maintenance, equipment repair, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems
- Knowledge of industrial mechanic practices including equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance strategies
- Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing issues quickly and implementing effective solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-specialists
- Car Wash equipment maintenance experience or industrial settings is highly desirable
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Able to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Able to lift 50+ lbs, work indoors and outdoors infall weather conditions
