Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Catering Manager to lead our catering sales and event coordination with enthusiasm and professionalism. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of catering sales and event planning operations, outstanding customer service, and efficient management of staff and resources. Your leadership will drive the success of our catering events, from small gatherings to large-scale functions, creating memorable experiences for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, management skills, and passion for hospitality in a fast-paced, vibrant environment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate sales and event planning for all catering events.
Oversee all catering sales operations.
Plan and coordinate with Chef presentation, staffing and delivery to ensure top-quality service.
Handle customer communication in a quick and timely manner to plan and coordinate event details.
Drive catering sales in coordination with Catering Director and Social Media Manager to increase events. Targeting both existing catering clients and new clients.
Manage catering service staff by providing training, supervision, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and professional team.
Plan menus in collaboration with clients, considering dietary requirements and event themes while maintaining food safety standards.
Price Menus in coordination with Catering Director.
Invoice and secure payment from catering clients prior to event date.
Oversee shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet event demands while maintaining high standards of customer service and team leadership.
Conduct staff training sessions on food handling, safety protocols, and customer service excellence to enhance team performance.
Maintain excellent communication with clients before, during, and after events to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly.
Send request for event feedback and thank you after each event.
Resolve any customer concerns and issues in coordination with Catering Director.
Qualifications
Proven experience in food service management within casual dining or banquet environments; catering experience is highly preferred.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management with a focus on quality control.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams in fast-paced restaurant or hospitality settings.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and sanitation.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic math skills for inventory control, budgeting, and profit analysis; experience with financial reporting is a plus.
Exceptional customer service skills combined with effective managerial communication to ensure client satisfaction.
Ability to train staff effectively on food production techniques, safety standards, and hospitality best practices.
Previous experience managing hospitality teams in a restaurant or catering environment; assistant manager or supervisory roles are advantageous.Join us as a Catering Manager where your leadership will inspire teams, elevate our culinary offerings, and create unforgettable experiences for our guests!
