Job Description for Escrow Funder
Escrow Funder is a full-time position responsible for balancing and funding the closed real estate transaction, in accordance with state department of insurance regulations and company policies and procedures.
Job Duties:
- Review the closed file and work with settlement to ensure all funds have been collected and posted.
- Verify incoming and outgoing wire information.
- Analyze files for discrepancies prior to disbursement.
- Accurately disburse funds from closed transactions, in accordance with closing instructions and company policies and procedures.
- Ensure all required documents have been received and posted to file.
- Check that all invoices in the file have correct payee and amounts, and all necessary approvals have been received prior to disbursement.
- Coordinate with lenders and parties to obtain funding approval.
- Communicate with parties to the transaction regarding disbursement of funds
- Prepare lender closing packages in accordance with closing instructions.
- Submit documents from closing for recording.
- Complete other job-related duties as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills We Require:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of title insurance, banking, or mortgage industry experience.
- Proficiency with title production software.
- Proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office, such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to exceed in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organization skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Attention to detail.
