Infection Prevention Specialist

Full Time

Wage Range:

/hour

We have a full time, benefited position available. Some of the position responsibilities are as follows: performs administrative functions such as evaluating epidemiology activities, resident care from an infection control standpoint as well as performing studies as recommended/needed; serves as a resource person for orientation, patient care, staff education, employee health, and development of infection control standards; coordinates infection control surveillance activities; Investigates infection clusters and unusual pathogens; reports required communicable disease to Public Health Dept. Minimum qualifications are as follows: must have primary professional training as a licensed nurse, medical technologist, microbiologist, epidemiologist, public health professional, or other healthcare related field. Candidates must be qualified by education, training, clinical or healthcare experience, or certification, and must have completed specialized training in infection prevention and control. Starting wage is $35 – $50/hour, plus benefits depending upon licensure and experience.
