High Sierra Pools is seeking a full-time Lifeguard & Pool Technician to support our aquatic facilities. This is a hybrid role, with approximately 50% of time dedicated to lifeguarding duties and 50% to facility inspections, water quality management, and basic maintenance.
The position is based at indoor pool facilities within fitness clubs, offering a structured, professional environment with consistent clientele and the opportunity to become a key part of the community and operations team.

Summary:
This hybrid role combines lifeguarding responsibilities with facility inspection and basic technical maintenance duties to ensure safe, clean, and efficiently operated aquatic environments.
Lifeguard Responsibilities (50%):
- Monitors activities in swimming areas to prevent, recognize, and respond to emergencies
- Enforces pool rules and regulations with a professional and courteous approach
- Warns patrons of unsafe behaviors and safety hazards
- Responds to emergencies and performs rescues, CPR, first aid, and spinal injury management
- Prepares pool area for daily opening and closing
- Supervises facility use and controls access, including monitoring pool and guest passes
- Maintains cleanliness of pool deck, restrooms, locker rooms, and surrounding areas
- Assists with water testing and records chemical readings as required
Pool Technician & Inspection Responsibilities (50%):
- Conducts routine facility inspections and completes reports in accordance with company standards
- Assists in maintaining water quality, including testing, chemical balancing, and filtration system monitoring
- Orders and manages timely delivery of chemicals and supplies
- Identifies and reports safety hazards, faulty equipment, or operational concerns to management
- Performs minor repairs and basic equipment troubleshooting (as approved)
- Collaborates with Division Manager on operational issues and participates in problem-solving
- Ensures all required documentation and reports are completed accurately and on time
Qualified applicants will possess:
- Valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED for Lifeguards, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications
- Pool Operator License (preferred)

- Must successfully pass a background investigation
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
