Job Summary

This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your food industry expertise while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Duties

Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning according to recipes and safety standards
Assist in assembling dishes during meal service, ensuring presentation meets quality expectations
Follow food safety protocols and handle food items with proper hygiene practices at all times
Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks such as cooking, plating, and garnishing
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold health regulations
Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
Adhere to dietary department guidelines and menu planning instructions to ensure accurate meal delivery

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is required; and training will be provided
Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices is highly desirable
Familiarity with culinary techniques such as slicing, knife skills, and cooking methods is a plus
Experience working in restaurants, catering services, or the food industry demonstrates valuable skills in fast-paced settings
Strong understanding of safety standards in production and food safety management is essential
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in meal preparation and serving tasks

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
