Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a seamless experience from initial vehicle check-in to service completion. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to upsell additional services while maintaining high customer satisfaction standards. Previous dealership experience and automotive service management knowledge are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to their vehicle concerns and service needs.
Prepare detailed service estimates using auto estimating tools and communicate recommendations clearly.
Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, tire services, suspension, alignment, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
Upsell additional maintenance or repair services based on vehicle diagnostics and mechanical knowledge.
Manage service writing documentation accurately and efficiently in the dealership’s system.
Handle cash transactions and process payments securely.
Follow up with customers regarding vehicle status and ensure their satisfaction upon completion of service.
Maintain a thorough understanding of automotive repair procedures, including auto diagnostics, mechanical troubleshooting, and vehicle maintenance best practices.

Requirements

Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management preferred.
Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and mechanical systems such as transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, suspensions, alignments, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repairs.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
Ability to upsell services tactfully while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
Experience with auto estimating software and service writing is highly desirable.
Mechanical knowledge combined with service technician experience is a plus.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and securely.
Automotive sales experience is beneficial but not required. This position offers an engaging environment where technical expertise meets exceptional customer care—ideal for professionals passionate about automotive repair and sales excellence.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
