Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Type: Contract
Location: Gunnison, Colorado
Setting: Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide and supervise day-to-day nursing activities within a Long Term Care facility in Colorado. The RN will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing to ensure residents receive the highest degree of quality care while maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans
Supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities during the assigned shift
Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes promptly to physicians and the Director of Nursing
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Assess residents and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented
Supervise and support LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff as assigned
Ensure accurate and timely completion of nursing documentation
Participate in care planning and resident assessments
Promote resident safety, comfort, dignity, and quality of life
Ensure nursing practices comply with facility policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Address resident and family concerns professionally and promptly
Assist with maintaining appropriate staffing and workflow throughout the shift
Report significant incidents, changes in resident condition, and other concerns to appropriate leadership

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
Current BLS Certification preferred
Previous Long Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), or rehabilitation experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to supervise nursing staff and coordinate resident care
Knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards of practice

Preferred Qualifications

Previous Charge Nurse or supervisory experience
Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
Knowledge of federal and state long-term care requirements
