Circle 5 Winery - Kitchen & Guest Experience Associate (Part-Time)

Position Summary

We are looking for a dependable, motivated Kitchen & Guest Experience Associate to join our small, fast-paced winery team. Although our kitchen is small, we serve a high volume of guests, and we need someone who can stay organized, work efficiently under pressure, and pay close attention to detail.

This role is essential to creating a memorable guest experience. In addition to preparing and serving food, kitchen staff regularly interact with guests and are expected to provide friendly, professional customer service. Creativity and an eye for detail are also important, as this position includes creating beautifully presented charcuterie boards and other small plates that reflect the quality and experience our winery is known for.

We see the kitchen as more than a support function. It is a place for creativity, problem-solving, and ownership. Circle 5 wants to be a training ground for leaders, and because we are a small team, strong people here often grow quickly into broader responsibility. We are more interested in independence, flexibility, drive, open-mindedness, and a strong instinct for service than in finding someone who already arrives with every exact skill on day one.

Primary Responsibilities

Prep ingredients and prepare food orders.
Create attractive, high-quality charcuterie boards and other small plates.
Help develop thoughtful food ideas for tasting room service, special events, and small group experiences.
Solve practical food-service problems, such as deciding what to serve for a group within a specific budget, timeline, or occasion.
Deliver food to guests while providing excellent customer service.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
Wash dishes and kitchen equipment.
Monitor ingredient inventory and communicate restocking needs.
Bus and reset tables.
Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
Help design and improve processes across prep, plating, service, cleanup, inventory, and communication.
Assist with other kitchen and winery tasks as needed.

Friendly, professional, and customer-focused.
Current Washington State Food Worker Card, or ability to obtain one promptly.
Previous kitchen or food service experience is preferred but not required.
