Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Coordinator to support accurate and timely biweekly payroll for a high-volume BPO/call center environment. This in-office role works closely with the Payroll Manager, HR, and Recruiting teams.

The ideal candidate has strong Excel and accounting skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage sensitive information and strict deadlines. This role requires accuracy, organization, accountability, and a willingness to jump in and help wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

Support accurate and timely biweekly payroll processing for a high-volume workforce.
Review payroll data, including hours, attendance, pay rates, bonuses, incentives, adjustments, and deductions.
Identify discrepancies, research issues, and coordinate corrections before payroll submission.
Partner with Payroll, HR, and Recruiting to ensure employee and compensation information is accurate and up to date.
Use Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, validate, and reconcile payroll and employee data.
Assist with payroll reporting, audits, reconciliations, and other payroll-related projects.
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and compensation information.
Monitor deadlines and proactively follow up on outstanding information.
Support new-hire orientation and communicate basic payroll information to employees.
Provide responsive, professional support to employees and internal teams.
Take initiative to identify issues and assist with solutions.

Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in payroll, accounting, HR, finance, or a related field.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial data accuracy.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including calculations, sorting/filtering, data organization, and identifying discrepancies.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and standard Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating with remote and onsite teams.
Comfortable speaking to groups and assisting with new-hire orientation.
Team-oriented, dependable, and eager to help.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience processing payroll in a call center, BPO, staffing, or other high-volume environment.
Experience with biweekly payroll processing.
Experience with HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, or workforce management systems.
Experience with compensation, incentives, bonuses, commissions, or other variable-pay programs.
Experience partnering with HR and Recruiting teams.
