Full Job Description

Zooted Brandz is looking for an experienced cannabis industry sales professional to help expand our retail presence and grow the brand throughout Michigan.

This is NOT an entry-level cannabis position.

Great Pay + Uncapped Commission

We are looking for a proven salesperson, and we are willing to pay for the right person.

This position offers competitive base compensation PLUS a strong commission structure with NO CAP on commissions or earnings.

The more business you bring in and the more accounts you grow, the more you make. There is no income ceiling.

If you already have relationships in the Michigan cannabis industry and know how to turn those relationships into business, this is an opportunity to earn extremely well while helping grow an expanding brand.

We are specifically looking for someone who has spent time in the cannabis industry, understands how the business works, and most importantly, already has established relationships with dispensary buyers, purchasing managers, owners, distributors and other decision-makers within the industry.

We don't need someone who needs to learn who to call.

We want someone who already knows the market, knows the buyers and can start opening doors.

Zooted Brandz offers a growing portfolio of cannabis products and smoke accessories, giving our sales team multiple opportunities to build, cross-sell and grow wholesale accounts.

What You'll Be Doing

Develop and grow relationships with dispensaries, retailers, distributors and cannabis buyers
Introduce Zooted Brandz products to new accounts
Leverage your existing cannabis-industry relationships to open new doors
Maintain and grow existing wholesale accounts
Meet directly with buyers, purchasing managers and store owners
Conduct sales calls, presentations and product introductions
Follow up on leads and turn opportunities into purchase orders
Identify new retail and distribution opportunities throughout your territory
Work with our internal team on promotions, launches and account opportunities
Keep organized records of prospects, conversations and sales activity
Represent Zooted Brandz professionally at industry events, stores and meetings
Continually grow your territory, account base and sales volume

What We're Looking For

3+ years of cannabis-industry sales or account-management experience preferred
Existing relationships with dispensary buyers and cannabis-industry decision-makers strongly preferred
Proven history of B2B sales and account development
Strong understanding of the Michigan cannabis marketplace
Proven ability to open new accounts and grow existing business
Comfortable prospecting, cold calling, visiting accounts and asking for the sale
Self-motivated and able to manage a sales territory
Strong communication and follow-up skills
Able to build long-term relationships and grow account revenue
Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout assigned territory as needed
Must meet all applicable legal requirements for working within the cannabis industry

The Person We Want

We're looking for someone who has actually worked in cannabis sales and has relationships to prove it.

If you've spent years working with dispensaries, brands, distributors, processors or cannabis retailers and have a contact list full of buyers and decision-makers you can call, we want to talk to you.

If you're simply passionate about cannabis but don't have professional cannabis sales experience or industry relationships, this probably isn't the right position.

We're looking for a closer who knows how to take a relationship from introduction to purchase order and then continue growing that account.

We want top sales talent, and our compensation reflects that.

Benefits

Eligible employees have access to our group health and dental insurance plans at discounted group rates.

Employees are responsible for 100% of the insurance premium cost. Zooted Brandz does not currently contribute toward the monthly premium, but employees receive access to the discounted rates available through our company group plans.
