IT Installation Technician

Location: Novi, MI 48374
Job Type: Part-time / Entry-Level

Pay: $14.00-$18.00/hr

We provide a fast-paced, high-energy environment where seamless technology and infrastructure are critical to creating world-class event experiences.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on IT Installation Technician to join our team at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace. The IT Installation Technician will be responsible for executing service orders, installing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting low-voltage network equipment, digital devices, and other technology systems. This role is ideal for someone who is tech-savvy, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their skills in the IT field. No formal schooling is required—comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Network Setup: Assist with the physical installation and basic setup of network hardware, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
Device Deployment: Mount, connect, and configure commercial TVs, digital displays, and smart security cameras.
POS & Smart Systems: Install and test Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and various network-connected smart devices.
Cable Management: Run, terminate, and neatly organize low-voltage network cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) and power cords.
Strong Customer Service skills.

Qualifications & Skills

Tech-Savvy: Solid understanding of basic IT concepts (e.g., how to log into a router, connect devices to Wi-Fi, and configure basic network settings).
Hands-On Skills: Comfort using basic hand and power tools (drills, screwdrivers, wire strippers).
Physical Ability: Able to climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
Preferred (But Not Required): Prior experience with cable pulling, smart home setups, or audio/video installations.

Hours are based on our event schedule.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
