About Soleil Nail Studio:
Soleil Nail Studio is a luxury, natural-nail-focused studio built on elevated service, cleanliness, and education. We’re looking for a warm, organized, client-first Receptionist to run the front desk experience and keep the studio flowing smoothly.
Position Details
- Title: Studio Receptionist (Front Desk)
- Reports to: Owner, Vayanna
- Location: In-studio located at 254 E 100 S Salt Lake City, UT 84111
- Schedule: 2-3 days/week, 9:00am–7:00pm
Role Summary
You’ll be the first and last point of contact for our clients, greeting, checking in/out, supporting booking, responding to inquiries, and helping maintain a calm, polished studio environment. This role is ideal for someone who loves people, thrives on details, and can confidently juggle multiple priorities.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Client Experience & Front Desk
- Greet clients warmly, manage check-in/check-out, and maintain a welcoming lobby experience
- Answer and route incoming calls, texts, and general inquiries
- Respond to Instagram DMs and other client messages using our brand voice and policies
- Book, adjust, and reschedule appointments; help reduce gaps and support rebooking
- Collect/confirm client information (required profile information, notes, preferences, service details)
- Support retail sales (products, e-gift cards, etc.), including basic product guidance and add-on suggestions
- Handle client concerns with professionalism; escalate urgent or sensitive issues to management
2. Admin & Communication
- Manage emails: respond to general/client inquiries, organize messages, and flag urgent items
- Maintain clear internal communication with the team (notes for techs, schedule changes, client requests)
- Keep front desk materials organized (forms, signage, policy reminders, intake prompts)
3. Inventory & Supplies Support
- Monitor front desk and common-area supplies (bags, cards, pens, cleaning items, retail packaging)
- Notify the Studio Coordinator/Owner when supplies are low or when items are requested
- Assist with receiving packages and putting away supplies as directed
4. Marketing & In-Studio Support
- Respond to online reviews (Google and social platforms) with professionalism and warmth (templates may be provided)
- Support in-studio marketing initiatives: loyalty program reminders, referral prompts, and rebooking encouragement
- Help keep the studio “photo-ready” (tidy front desk, stocked displays, clean surfaces)
5. Facility Upkeep & Operations
- Perform cleanliness checks throughout the day (front desk, waiting area, bathroom, retail displays)
- Coordinate deep cleans as scheduled and help ensure checklists are followed
- Support light studio resets between busy periods (tidy, restock, refresh)
6. Additional Responsibilities & Flexibility
- Day-to-day tasks may change or expand at the direction of the owner to meet business needs
- May be asked to run occasional errands (inventory pickup, flowers, small supply runs)
Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in customer service, hospitality, front desk, or admin support (salon/spa experience is a plus, not required)
- Strong communication skills (in-person, phone, email, and social messaging)
- Comfortable with booking/scheduling software and learning new tools quickly
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Calm under pressure; able to multitask while staying kind and professional
- Able to maintain discretion and handle sensitive situations appropriately

- Clients feel welcomed, cared for, and clearly informed
- Messages are answered promptly and accurately; urgent items are escalated appropriately
- The studio stays clean, organized, and running smoothly
- Booking support reduces gaps and improves rebooking/retention
- Management is kept in the loop on anything urgent or outside the receptionist’s scope
Boundaries & Exclusions
- Not authorized to hire or fire staff
- Does not handle confidential HR issues (refers to the owner)
- Does not perform nail services or technical work
- Major purchases, marketing decisions, and sensitive issues require owner approval
