FRONT DESK COORDINATOR(S)

This position at Homework Hub is an essential role aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of the organization. Here’s a breakdown of the job description, including responsibilities, requirements, and other key details.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for the organization and coordination of office operations, ensuring effectiveness and safety for staff, students, and families. The ideal candidate should be experienced in administrative tasks, possess strong leadership skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Office Organization
*Maintain organization of the main office, front desk, bathrooms, supply closet, and classrooms.
*Monitor and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
*Oversee cleanliness, including supervising cleaning staff.
*Update and maintain office and student folders.
*Track staff and students hours as well as student assignments; assist with check-in for teachers and students.
2. Supervision of Students, Teachers, and Staff
*Manage safety precautions (e.g., allergies, dismissal and bathroom safety).
*Control noise level so so students can concentrate and learn
*Facilitate communication between students and teachers.
*Ensure staff punctuality and adherence to duties; limit excessive social interactions.
3. Communication
*Respond promptly to emails, phone calls, and SMS messages, maintaining professionalism in all communications.
*Track communications and ensure timely responses.
4. Additional Duties
*Be adaptable to changes in office assistant tasks based on operational needs.

REQUIREMENTS
*Familiarity with office management
* Excellent time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
* Knowledge of the education system, including familiarity with different academic levels (e.g., AP, Regents, Honors).
* Outgoing, friendly, patient and a pleasant demeanor when interacting with parents, colleagues, and students.
* Experience working with children of various ages.
* Proficiency in using Apple devices.

SCHEDULE
* Monday-Thursday

3pm to closing (approximately 9:30pm)

*Friday

3:00pm-7:00pm

*Sunday

8:45am-2:45pm (approximately)

COMPENSATION
*Pay range is $17.00 - $19.00 per hour.

Homework Hub is looking for 2 creative college students interested in gaining real-world experience in social media, photography, content creation, and advertising.

This is a great opportunity for students interested in marketing, communications, photography, business, media, or content creation who want hands-on experience they can add to their resume, college applications, and future job applications.

What You’ll Get Experience With:
*Creating social media content
*Taking photos and videos
*Creating short-form content and Reels
*Brainstorming content and advertising ideas
*Helping promote programs, services, and events
*Learning how a real business manages its online presence and marketing

SCHEDULE:
*3:30pm-7:30pm
*In-person at our Melville office

We are hiring for two separate positions:

*Position 1

2 days per week

*Position 2

3 days per week

COMPENSATION:

* Pay is $17.00 per hour.

*No professional experience is required. We’re looking for students who are creative, dependable, comfortable with social media, and willing to learn.

**Former Homework Hub students will be considered first.

Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
