Full Job Description

Chip Shots Golf & Whiskey Bar is looking for an experienced Lead Line Cook who is passionate about great food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to take the next step in their culinary career.

This position works in both our gourmet food truck and prep kitchen, preparing high-quality food, leading kitchen operations during service, and helping maintain the standards that make Chip Shots a unique dining destination.

Pay

Starting at $18.00/hour with performance-based raises and opportunities for advancement.

ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Service

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
Execute food efficiently during lunch, dinner, golf outings, and special events.
Maintain consistency in food quality, portioning, and presentation.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.
Operate grills, fryers, flat tops, and other kitchen equipment safely.

Food Truck Operations

Lead kitchen operations during assigned shifts.
Coordinate ticket flow to ensure timely service.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked food truck.
Assist with setup, breakdown, and event preparation.

Prep Kitchen Duties

Complete daily prep lists.
Portion meats and ingredients.
Prepare sauces, soups, dressings, and specialty items.
Vacuum seal and prepare sous vide products according to company SOPs.
Label, date, rotate, and store products using FIFO procedures.
Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.

Leadership

Lead by example and maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Help train new kitchen employees on recipes, equipment, and food safety procedures.
Monitor food quality and communicate any concerns to ownership.
Help reduce food waste and maintain kitchen organization.
Assist ownership with inventory counts and ordering as needed.

Qualifications

2+ years of restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
Experience working grill, sauté, or line stations.
Strong knife skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
ServSafe Food Handler or Manager Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude, dependable attendance, and strong work ethic.

Preferred Experience

Food truck or fast-casual kitchen experience
Scratch cooking
Sous vide cooking
Catering or banquet experience
Inventory and ordering

Physical Requirements

Stand for extended periods.
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Work in both indoor prep kitchen and food truck environments.
Availability for evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
