Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Parts Specialist to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing production/manufacturing machine parts inventory, assisting the plant with parts selection, and supporting the overall efficiency of our parts department. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and a thorough understanding of industrial machine maintenance systems and accessories. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly contribute to machine maintenance and repair operations.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):

Parts Room Responsibilities

Ensure proper organization/storage of parts in parts room and maintenance shop
Order and expedite parts required for immediate repairs and to keep proper min/max inventory levels
Perform required cycle counts on parts
Calculate costs of orders, and charge or forward invoices to appropriate GL accounts
Perform buying duties throughout facility (Building, Shop floor departments, etc.)
Schedule Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and Return Goods Authorization (RGA) for repair of parts.
Compare/evaluate prices/costs, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
Provide delivery dates of parts to maintenance team
Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems. (equipment goes down)
Track the status of vendor orders and provide feedback to maintenance team.
Transport parts to be repaired for down equipment to and from repair facilities
Assist in set-up of meetings (tables, chairs, projector, screens, etc.)
Manage invoice reconciliation of parts delivered
Maintain upkeep of company vehicles
Serve as a backup for maintenance program maintenance assistant

Maintenance Program Responsibilities (CMMS)

Maintain corrective, preventive, predictive and work orders through Limble (CMMS)
Maintain KPI dashboards

Project Planning

Coordinate operations-related maintenance projects by defining scope, priority, timing, and required resources with production and maintenance stakeholders.
Plan building infrastructure maintenance activities, including contractor coordination, permits, materials, and equipment access requirements.
Develop task lists, project schedules, and milestone tracking for equipment repairs, upgrades, relocations, and facility improvement work.
Identify parts, labor, tools, safety requirements, and downtime needs before project execution.
Communicate project status, risks, schedule changes, and completion updates to maintenance leadership and affected departments.

Experience & Education:

Minimum of High School Degree
2-3 years experienced managing a Parts Room.
CMMS experience is a plus
MRP/ERP experience is required
Higher ability to operate and enter information in computerized inventory system

Pay: $25.66 - $34.00 per hour
