This is a hybrid position. The exact onsite and remote schedule will be established by the client. Candidates must be able to report to the Columbia, South Carolina, worksite as required.
Position Overview
ND Global Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior .NET Developer/System Software Programmer to serve as a technical project lead within a web application development team.
The selected candidate will support the development and delivery of mission-critical public-sector applications, including Economic Services Re-Engineering initiatives and a Refugee Management System. The role requires extensive experience designing and implementing medium- to large-scale .NET applications, data-driven systems, web services, secure web applications, and scalable N-tier architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, integrate, and deploy enterprise web applications and services.
- Develop user interfaces and web services using C#, ASP.NET, .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core Web API, Minimal API, Angular, PrimeNG, and jQuery.
- Develop data-driven applications using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Participate in code development, unit testing, source-code management, build management, integration testing, and deployment.
- Design and document application subsystems, components, interfaces, and object-oriented solutions.
- Implement and debug application subsystems and software components.
- Develop and execute unit, component, integration, and system tests.
- Participate in integrated testing on test and production servers.
- Work with software engineers and technical leaders to understand subsystem and component specifications.
- Recommend architectural and technical changes that improve development efficiency, scalability, maintainability, and security.
- Evaluate and recommend data interchange formats, APIs, messaging strategies, application-server technologies, and infrastructure requirements.
- Communicate the system-level impact of technical and architectural decisions.
- Define and document component requirements and capabilities within the larger system and project environment.
- Support the team’s repositories, build systems, testing platforms, and other technical infrastructure.
- Mentor junior and developing software engineers.
- Share technical knowledge and development practices across the organization.
- Collaborate with technical teams, government stakeholders, customers, and nontechnical personnel.
- Contribute to the delivery of registration, interview-center, eligibility, economic-services, and refugee-management applications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- At least seven years of experience independently designing and implementing medium- to large-scale software systems using .NET architectures.
- At least five years of experience developing data-driven applications using SQL databases.
- At least five years of experience developing web-based software systems using N-tier architectures, dynamic content, scalable approaches, and complex security models.
- At least two years of Angular development experience.
- Advanced experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET, .NET Core, and ASP.NET MVC.
- Experience developing RESTful services using ASP.NET Core Web API or Minimal API.
- Experience with Angular, AngularJS, PrimeNG, and jQuery.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Entity Framework.
- Experience with Team Foundation Server or comparable source-control and build-management platforms.
- Experience with IIS and Microsoft server environments.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and application troubleshooting.
- Ability to design and document object-oriented application components and subsystems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical designs, implementation decisions, strengths, risks, and limitations to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
