Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Receptionist / Assistant Property Manager for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Columbia, SC. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the first point of contact, providing excellent customer service, and supporting daily property operations in a professional real estate and property management environment.

The Receptionist / Assistant Property Manager will help create a positive experience for tenants, employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors while assisting with building coordination, administrative support, access management, and routine facilities communication. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented administrative or customer service professional who enjoys a stable workplace, positive teamwork, and a visible role that supports the smooth operation of a commercial property.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact at the building welcome desk and provide a professional first impression for tenants, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
Greet guests, answer general questions, and direct visitors to the appropriate tenant, department, or building area.
Manage building access cards, including issuing, tracking, updating, and maintaining accurate access information.
Coordinate calendar scheduling and reservations for the building’s large meeting and event space.
Receive tenant concerns, maintenance requests, and building-related issues, then communicate them to the appropriate property management contact or vendor.
Monitor routine building matters such as fire panel alerts, parking lot concerns, and vendor activity, escalating issues as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $35,000 to $37,000 per year.
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
