Full Job Description

PRIMARY SUMMARY:

Oversees the day to day cost accounting activities for COI plant. May be assigned to specific plant areas to analyze product cost, profitability, and recommend cost improvement needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts on demand analysis of product cost and/or profitability.
Work in conjunction with Plant Controller to ensure timely month-end reporting.
Provides detailed P&L analysis to Plant Controller.
Prepares, audits, and improves creation of Profit and Loss (P&L) monthly statements.
Implements all capital expenditure processes, tracks all payment plans and assigns a number to the asset.
Maintains, reviews, and audits inventories including but not limited to; finish goods, raw materials, work in process (WIP), tooling, and fixed assets.
Partner with key internal customers (i.e. operations) to ensure accurate and meaningful reporting and analysis.
Evaluates and calculates inventory values to ensure accurate cost roll-up.
Responsible for sustaining ERP system cost accounting module to ensure system integrity.
Processes all Monadnock expenses for reimbursement.
Assists Plant Controller with special projects.
Follow all 5S department procedures which include but are not limited to; keeping floors clean of oil and debris, returning tools to proper locations, organize part pans, and performs other housekeeping duties.
Attends all required job related training (internal and external).
All employees are responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.
All employees are responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.
All employees are required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from a four-year College or University in Accounting or equivalent degree.
Three or more years of cost accountant experience preferably in manufacturing.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of integrated accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Payroll systems; and Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists. Contain the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, licenses, registrations
Evidence of “US person” is required under ITAR
