IT Specialist

Open Arms Community Health & Service Center is looking for more than an IT Specialist—we're looking for a technology partner who sees opportunity where others see routine.

Our organization is growing rapidly across healthcare, behavioral health, recuperative care, and transitional housing. As we continue to expand, technology will play an increasingly important role in how we operate, communicate, analyze data, and serve our community.

Job Overview

As our IT Specialist, you'll become the primary technology resource for the organization, supporting multiple departments while helping shape the future of our technology infrastructure.

You'll work closely with leadership to identify operational challenges, improve workflows, strengthen security, support end users, and implement solutions that increase efficiency across the organization. While you'll provide day-to-day technical support, you'll also have the unique opportunity to influence long-term technology strategy as Open Arms continues to grow.

Responsibilities

§ Provide technical support for hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and user accounts.

§ Maintain and improve the organization's IT infrastructure, including computers, networking equipment, wireless systems, and cloud-based platforms.

§ Troubleshoot system, network, connectivity, and application issues across multiple program locations.

§ Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend technology solutions that improve productivity and enhance the employee experience.

§ Develop documentation, standard operating procedures, and technology best practices.

§ Support cybersecurity initiatives, system updates, user permissions, backups, and technology asset management.

§ Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees by configuring devices, accounts, and system access.

§ Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies that align with organizational growth.

§ Collaborate with leadership on technology planning, infrastructure improvements, and future IT initiatives.

§ Leverage data, reporting tools, automation, and emerging technologies—including AI—to improve operational decision-making and organizational efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum two to three years of professional IT support experience.

Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and computer hardware.

Experience with troubleshooting printers, wireless networks, VPNs, and general infrastructure.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

A mindset focused on continuous improvement rather than simply maintaining existing systems.

Experience supporting healthcare environments or electronic health record systems is a plus but not required.
