About the Role
Cable Leader is a cable and connectivity distributor in Chino, CA. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Inventory & Shipping Coordinator to help maintain accurate inventory, manage incoming receiving, and support our daily shipping operation.
This is a hands-on warehouse position, not a desk-based logistics or supply chain role.
The most important part of this role is inventory accuracy. You will regularly verify physical inventory, investigate quantity discrepancies, perform cycle counts, receive incoming products, and make sure inventory records accurately reflect what is physically in the warehouse.
You will also work extensively with ShipStation to process shipments, print labels, select shipping services, manage order exceptions, and help ensure customer orders ship correctly and on time.
This is a good opportunity for someone with hands-on warehouse experience who is organized, comfortable working with inventory systems, and interested in growing into broader warehouse or operations responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Accuracy
- Maintain accurate physical inventory and help ensure inventory records match actual warehouse quantities.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify the cause of shortages, overages, incorrect locations, or inventory errors.
- Make or coordinate necessary inventory corrections when discrepancies are identified.
- Verify product numbers, quantities, and warehouse locations.
- Monitor problem inventory and follow up until discrepancies are resolved.
- Help maintain organized and accurate inventory locations.
- Identify recurring inventory problems and communicate them to management.
- Support periodic physical inventory counts.
- Follow inventory control procedures and help improve processes that reduce inventory errors.
Receiving & Incoming Inventory
- Receive incoming vendor shipments and verify products against expected quantities.
- Physically inspect incoming items for correct part numbers and quantities.
- Identify shortages, overages, damaged products, incorrect products, and vendor shipping errors.
- Separate and report problem items before they are placed into inventory.
- Make sure received products are properly counted, identified, and stored in the correct warehouse locations.
- Communicate receiving discrepancies and backorders to management and the sales team.
- Maintain accurate receiving documentation and records.
- Assist with scheduled vendor pickups using the company truck.
ShipStation & Daily Shipping
- Use ShipStation regularly as part of the daily shipping workflow.
- Review orders and prepare shipments for processing.
- Independently print shipping labels and packing documents.
- Select appropriate carriers and shipping service levels based on order requirements.
- Process UPS, FedEx, USPS, and other applicable shipments.
- Handle multi-package shipments and shipping adjustments.
- Help manage split orders, combined orders, and order exceptions.
- Identify and tag out-of-stock or problem orders in ShipStation.
- Keep shipping records and order statuses current.
- Verify shipping information before orders leave the warehouse.
- Help resolve incorrect addresses, shipping method issues, missing products, and other shipment exceptions.
- Step in to physically pick, pack, and ship customer orders when warehouse coverage is needed.
- Help ensure daily shipments are completed before carrier cutoff times.
Warehouse Operations
- Help coordinate the daily warehouse fulfillment cycle.
- Support morning and afternoon Will Call orders.
- Assist with picking, packing, receiving, stocking, and warehouse organization as needed.
- Communicate inventory shortages, receiving problems, and shipping exceptions with the sales team through Teams.
- Complete scheduled vendor pickups using the company truck.
- Follow established warehouse, receiving, inventory, and shipping SOPs.
- Help identify practical ways to improve inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
