San Gabriel Valley Audiology and Hearing Aids (SGVAHA) is a locally owned and growing hearing healthcare practice serving communities throughout Los Angeles County. Our main office is located in West Covina, CA, with additional locations in El Monte, and Downey, CA.
We provide comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services for pediatric and adult patients, including hearing evaluations, hearing aid consultations, fittings, programming, follow-up care, and patient and family counseling.

As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and compassionate Audiologist to join our team.
Job Summary
The Audiologist will play an important role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with hearing and communication difficulties.
At SGVAHA, audiology goes beyond performing diagnostic testing. We believe in developing long-term relationships with our patients, educating patients and families about their hearing healthcare options, and providing individualized treatment recommendations based on each patient's communication needs and lifestyle.
The ideal candidate is patient-centered, professional, dependable, and comfortable working with both pediatric and adult populations. The Audiologist will collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, office staff, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and high-quality patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Audiologist's responsibilities may include:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations for pediatric and adult patients.
- Interpret audiological findings and clearly explain test results to patients and family members.
- Make appropriate recommendations based on audiological findings, communication needs, lifestyle, and patient goals.
- Conduct hearing aid evaluations and consultations.
- Recommend appropriate hearing aid technology based on the patient's hearing loss, communication needs, lifestyle, and preferences.
- Fit, program, verify, troubleshoot, and maintain hearing aids from major manufacturers.
- Prepare and send audiological reports to referring physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in clinic quality-improvement initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
- Travel between SGVAHA clinic locations as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties of the position satisfactorily.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an accredited program.
- Current or eligible for a California Audiologist license.
- Current or eligible for California Hearing Aid dispenser license
- Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
Desired
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required for this patient-facing position. The Audiologist must be able to communicate effectively in both languages to obtain case histories, explain diagnostic results and treatment recommendations, provide hearing aid counseling and orientation, and communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and families.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a private-practice or outpatient audiology setting.
- Previous clinical experience with both adult and pediatric patients.
- New Au.D. graduates who meet California licensure requirements are also highly encouraged to apply.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee may be required to:
- Sit or stand for extended periods.
- Use hands and fingers for repetitive tasks, including computer use and handling hearing aids and audiological equipment.
- Bend, reach, and move within clinical testing and treatment areas.
- Lift, push, or pull up to approximately 20 pounds periodically.
- Travel between clinic locations as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $90,000–$110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
